Day 3 evening: Bella Burrito!

They were sleeping so adorably that Amanda almost hated to have to wake them up - but it was feeding time! The ladies were weighed in at:

*drum roll*

Luna: 9.0-9.1 oz. (The scale kept going back and forth)
Bella: 4.3 oz!!! Up from 3.5 oz yesterday!! Woohoo!

Amanda took out Luna first to eliminate and then eat. Luna did very well - eating like a champ for the first time in a while. She did a great job and pretty much drained the bottle. Inside the their basket, Bella started to meow. Amanda thought this was just because she was lonely, but it turns out she's Lady Poops-a-lot now. She made a nice mess in the basket for Amanda to clean... then required a "sponge bath" care of cotton balls and warm water.

Luna was in the otherside of the basket when the sponge bath took place, but upon entering back into the room was found investigating Bella's "present." She was quickly removed.

The ladies were then placed on a towel on the sleeping back (although Bella kept wandering away) while the changing of the towels took place. Bella, wrapped in a dry washcloth, was taken downstairs by Amanda and held while new formula was poured and heated up. (About 8 seconds in the microwave = perfect). She was a little fussy and didn't eat too much - and ended up getting more on her face than in her mouth.

Bella was cleaned up (which she didn't much like) and wrapped back up in her burrito of a washcloth. This she liked much, as shortly after making our way back upstairs she promptly fell fast asleep. The burrito was then placed nicely on the clean towels in the basket with Luna.

And now? They sleep for another few hours before eating again. YUM.

Moooooommmmm, can't you see we're sleeping? We're too adorable to wake up!!

Luna: "Mmmm, that's the stuff."

Mom, hurry up! We want to go back in our basket!
