Since they're only a little over two weeks old, they can't go to the bathroom themselves - so we have to help them go by rubbing their bottoms with a paper towel. We do this every two hours after feeding them.
We also learned that they like to hear a heart beat, and we should hold them close to our chests regularly. It's a comforting sound; it is also nice and warm thanks to body heat.
(Check out Bella and Luna below tucked inside the shirt with extra warmth from a towel.)
We adopted them this young because Bella was so small and needed some extra attention in order to grow. (She needs fed regularly on 1.5-2 hour increments, and she previously wasn't getting enough milk from her mother.) We brought Luna with us so Bella would have the body warmth from Luna as well as family with which to grow up. Both little ladies need to be bottle fed, burped, and helped with elimination.
After spending the first night with the kitties, feeding them every 2 hours, Amanda was greeted with breakfast in "bed" (bed being the sleeping bag on the floor) courtesy of Jon. YUM!
Luna is the bigger kitty at 9.1 oz. On 6 April 2009 she weighed in at 9.0 oz in the morning... she hasn't been wanting to eat from the bottle but she's slowly getting better. Vet said this should improve with time as she gets used to the new environment.
Here are some pictures from Day 2 adventures:

Luna: Shush. I'm trying to sleep...
